Rabbi Levi Alperowitz

Co-founder & Director of Chabad of Nantucket

Rabbi Alperowitz grew up on Cape Cod and studied in New York, New Haven, France, and Israel, culminating in receiving his rabbinic ordination. He has a passion for connecting people and building community — whether through teaching, getting people together for Shabbat dinners, delivering fresh challah to doorsteps across the island, or simply sharing a good conversation. (He’s also known to be a phenomenal coffee date.)

Roza Alperowitz

Originally from London, Roza has been involved in Jewish growth and community life across London, Sweden, and Israel. She’s the organizational powerhouse behind everything Chabad of Nantucket does, ensuring programs and events run with beauty and heart. And yes, her homemade challah is legendary.

Berel Alperowitz

Chabad of Nantucket’s little Mascot

Born in 2023, Berel is already a familiar and beloved face on the island. Whether he’s charming guests at Shabbat dinner or just spreading smiles, Berel reminds everyone what Chabad is all about: family, joy, and a whole lot of heart.
